• Name: The application allows you to provide a display name. This name is stored locally on your device to personalize your experience and is not transmitted to our servers.
• Photos: The application's OCR feature allows you to upload an image of a problem. This image is processed on the client-side to extract text and may be sent to a third-party AI service for analysis (as detailed in Section 4). You may also voluntarily upload a photo to use as a profile avatar. This avatar image is converted and stored locally on your device. We do not collect or store these photos on our servers.
• Gender: We do not collect or ask for your gender.
• AI Interactions: To provide solutions, the questions and problems you input are sent to a third-party AI provider. We do not log or store the specific content of your questions on our servers.

3. Information Use

Your information is used to provide and improve our services. Specifically:

• Your locally stored settings (name, avatar, preferences) are used to customize your user interface and experience.
• The content of the problems you submit is used by our third-party AI provider to generate solutions, hints, quizzes, and other related educational content.
• We may use anonymized and aggregated usage data to understand how our service is used, identify popular features, and guide future development. This data does not contain any personally identifiable information.

4. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services.

• AI Provider: To provide solutions, QSolve AI sends the questions you input to Google's Gemini AI models. The handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, which you can review here: https://policies.google.com/privacy. We do not share your profile name or avatar with the AI provider.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services. Since all your primary data (settings and history) is stored on your local device, you have full control over its retention. The data persists on your device until you manually clear your browser's local storage or use the "Reset App" function in the application's settings. If you do so, this data will be permanently deleted.

6. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. The security of your data depends on the security of the device you use and the measures you take to protect it. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect the data processed by our service, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, as no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

You have full control over your data. In the app's settings, you can:

• Export Data: You can download a complete JSON backup of your application data (settings and history) at any time.
• Import Data: You can restore your data from a backup file, allowing you to migrate your data between devices.
• Reset App: You can permanently delete all your data from your local device at any time.
